Kumano city in Mie Prefecture

Kumano city is not actually a city but a very small town. And I don’t believe there will be someone come here for sightseeing on purpose. I came here for staying just because it’s convenient for me to visit the Nachi fire festival the next day. But, am I saying that I don’t like this place or disappointed by it? No…not at all~

It was early moring time when I left Kumano. I was carrying my baggage and heading to the train station. A man smile and greet at me. I remember it really well coz It’s not common to see that in a city like Hong Kong.

And there was also a cute little girl who was going to school. She saw me and used a clear voice saying,「おはようございます~」(Good morning~)

Those simple and small actions marked a delightful start to my day. Although Japanese people are all polite in general, I guess in such small town like Kumano, people will be much more agglomerated.

In conclusion, it was a coincidence I came to Kumano City for staying.

I realized that, for many times when we travel, we can’t really predict what funny place we are going to find out. But that’s the way we slow ourselves down to discover the beauty of the place.
