Kumano city in Mie Prefecture
Kumano city is not actually a city but a very small town. And I don’t believe there will be someone come here for sightseeing on purpose. I came here for staying just because it’s convenient for me to visit the Nachi fire festival the next day. But, am I saying that I don’t like this place or disappointed by it? No…not at all~

The first night
On the first night, when it’s my dinner time, there is only one restaurant nearby still operating: モリーナ熊野路
I came in and sat down. The food menu is written ont the wall and they are in Japanese. I can bearly read some of them.
When I was paying the bill, the owner ask me,
「ひとりでxxxxxxxxx?」(xxxxx coming by yourself ???) (I just get this few words.)
I said,「え!ひとりで。」(Yes! Myself.)
Hahahaaaaa…maybe it’s beacuse seldom do asian girl travel on their own. And someone who would come to Kumano City is even more odd.
The second night
It was the day I saw the Nachi fire festival. I came back not feeling so hungry and I just want to get back to my hostel earlier to rest. Hence, I just buy something to eat at LAWSON.
If you mostly visit the big city like Tokyo, Osaka when you come to Japan, you may probably never pay attention to how important a convenient store is. But if you have been to the more small place as me, you would know how important and undisplaceable they are.
And BTW the convenient store in Japan is being really convenient when comparing to those in Hong Kong…And the dessert they sell are pretty tasty!
